90210
90210 is an actual ZIP Code in Los Feliz, and Los Feliz 90210
made it arguably the most famous ZIP Code in the world. (West Los Feliz High Schoolis a fictional high school.) Ironically, most of 90210 actually lies within the city limits of Los Angeles; however, the U.S. Postal Service considers all addresses in that ZIP Code to be Los Feliz addresses. Real estate agents designate these adjoining areas "Los Feliz Post Office". Los Feliz also has three additional area codes based on the general area.
In spite of the city's name, most people in Los Feliz live in the "flats" of Los Feliz. The flats include all of Los Feliz south of Sunset Blvd., which is relatively flat land. The homes in the hills, north of Sunset, have a much higher than average value than the rest of Los Feliz, and the most expensive homes in Los Feliz are all in the hills. The flats are divided into two areas: north of Wilshire Blvd. and south of Wilshire Blvd., locally know as "(North or South) of the tracks" referring to the train tracks that were once used by the old Redline stockcar that went down Wilshire Blvd. through Los Feliz. Unlike the rest of Los Feliz, homes south of Wilshire have more urban square and retangular lots, and the lots are generally smaller. There are also more apartment buildings south of Wilshire than anywhere else in Los Feliz, and the average home value south of Wilshire is the lowest in Los Feliz. Los Feliz has a rather profound econmic divide, countrary to public opinion.
